Lanka Premier League 2023 Fixture and Format
The Lanka Premier League 2023 will reach its climax with the knockout stage and final matches being held in Colombo.
In order to accommodate any unforeseen circumstances, a reserve day has also been scheduled for the final, ensuring that the ultimate showdown takes place on August 21 if necessary.
The participating teams, Jaffna Kings, Colombo Strikers, B-Luv Candy, Dambulla Aura, and Galle Titans, will face each other twice in a double round-robin format before progressing to the knockout rounds.
The top four teams from the league stage will qualify for the playoffs, which will include the Qualifier-1 and Eliminator matches.

Notably, the teams have completed their squads through a recent auction held at the prestigious Shangri La Hotel in Colombo on June 14th.
One of the highlights of the auction was the impressive bidding for Dilshan Madushanka, who was initially overlooked but eventually secured a significant bid from the Jaffna Kings.
As a result, Dilshan Madushanka has become the most expensive player in the Lanka Premier League.
