The Andhra Premier League (APL) is set for its second season starting on August 16th. The 2023 edition, known as APL 2023, will conclude with the final on August 27th.
The 11-day T20 cricket tournament organized by the Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) will be held at the Dr YS Rajashekar Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam.
The 6 participating teams are the same as last season – defending champions Coastal Riders, Bezawada Tigers, Uttarandhra Lions, Rayalaseema Kings, Vizag Warriors and Godavari Titans.
The Coastal Riders will start their title defense against the Bezawada Tigers, in a rematch of last year’s final. The top 4 teams after the round-robin league stage will progress to the playoffs.
The matches are scheduled at 10 am, 12 pm, 3 pm and 5 pm. When the first match starts at 10 am, the second will begin at 3 pm. If the first match begins at 12pm, the second will start at 5 pm.
The playoffs will feature an Eliminator between 3rd and 4th place, Qualifier 1 between 1st and 2nd, Qualifier 2 between Eliminator winner and Qualifier 1 loser, and the Final between Qualifier 1 winner and Qualifier 2 winner.

The first season of the APL T20 tournament included six teams – Bezawada Tigers, Coastal Riders, Godavari Titans, Uttarandhra Lions, Rayalaseema Kings, and Vizag Warriors.
In the round-robin league stage, each team plays the others once in 20-over matches. The league phase has 21 total games, after which the top four teams will progress to the APL 2023 playoffs.
