ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup 2024 squad Announced: The ICC Under 19 Men’s Cricket World Cup 2024 is set to be an exciting tournament featuring the top young cricket talent from 16 nations. The event will occur in January and February 2024 across four venues in South Africa.

This marks the 15th edition of the ICC U19 World Cup, which has become a platform for future cricket stars to shine on the global stage. Defending champions India will look to claim a record 6th U19 title, having last won in 2022 by defeating England in the final.

The 16 teams are divided into four groups for the group-stage matches. Group A includes India, Bangladesh, Ireland and tournament debutants USA. Group B consists of host nations South Africa, England, West Indies and Scotland.

Group C features Australia, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe and Namibia. Finally, Group D comprises of rivals Pakistan and Afghanistan, along with New Zealand and Nepal.

In total, there will be 41 matches played throughout the tournament. The group stage will feature 16 matches, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the Super League quarter-finals.

The knockout stage then progresses to the semi-finals and ultimately the final to be held in February 2024.

Four cities across South Africa will host the U19 World Cup matches – Benoni, Potchefstroom, Kimberley and Bloemfontein. The tournament was originally meant to be held in Sri Lanka but was relocated due to venue readiness and weather concerns.
