Multan Cricket Stadium is located in the city of Multan, in the Punjab province of Pakistan. With a capacity of 35,000 spectators, it is one of the major international cricket venues in the country.
The stadium was constructed in 2001 at a cost of $6 million and is owned and operated by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Southern Punjab Cricket Association respectively. Floodlights were installed in 2015 to facilitate day-night matches.
Since its inauguration, Multan Cricket Stadium has hosted several top-class cricket matches. The first ever Test match played at the ground was between Pakistan and Bangladesh in 2001 which Pakistan won comfortably.
